Taek Kwon teaches computer networks, artificial neural networks, and multiprocessor base system design. His research interests include intelligent algorithms, adaptive system modeling from examples, prediction, estimation, pattern classification, combinatorial optimization problems, digital signal processing, next generation R/WIS, visibility, very large database (VLDV), data warehousing, data mining, and computer networks. He serves as an associate editor of the International Journal on Intelligent Automation and Soft Computing.

Kwon received his M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology. He is a member of the International Neural Network Society and the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society.
