A new video produced by the ITS Institute offers a snapshot of the rewarding career opportunities in the field of transportation technology, or intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

The video provides an overview of ITS and highlights its many uses and benefits, including congestion relief and improved roadway safety. ITS-related career areas include traffic engineering, policy and planning, vehicle and infrastructure design, and human and environmental factors. These careers are increasingly critical for our nation's transportation systems.

Through interviews with professionals who use ITS in their jobs and current students planning ITS-related careers, the video shows the breadth of opportunities available to creative problem-solvers who want to solve complex transportation issues, reduce crashes, and save lives.
