The Advanced Transportation Technologies Seminar Series is held bi-weekly in the fall, covering ITS-related research projects. Seminar presenters include University of Minnesota graduate students and researchers, as well as other researchers from throughout the United States, representing a variety of disciplines including civil and mechanical engineering, computer science and electrical engineering, and human factors research.
The Student of the Year award provides a $2,000 scholarship to a graduate student working on an Institute-sponsored research project. Nominations are requested in October. Please contact us at its@cts.umn.edu if you wish to receive a request for nominations.
The Institute involves undergraduates in ITS-related research projects. If you are an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota and are interested in working on a research project, contact us at its@cts.umn.edu.
The U of M offers many engineering and public policy courses related to intelligent transportation systems technology.
The ITS Institute has created Web research modules for high school students to explore important transportation and technology issues in the Twin Cities area.
